The canine world is minus a GREAT
American Bulldog. It is with much sadness that I report that RSR'S
BODACIOUS, known to most as 'Cody', is no longer with us.
Cody, bred by Sammy Bailey, was with me from 8 weeks of age. A truly
talented example of what an American Bulldog 'should' be, Cody had both
excellent conformation and all of the necessary American Bulldog drives.
He excelled as a protection dog, catch dog, and farm companion. His
temperament was exceptional; he could easily transition from bite work to his
role as friendly ambassador for his breed. And, like any good American
Bulldog, Cody loved to interact with kids!!
A good dog is not to be judged only on his looks and/or deeds but on what he
produced. I am proud to note that Cody, as a sire, produced outstanding
protection, obedience, catch, flyball, and agility offspring. But perhaps
Cody should be best remembered through all of his sons and daughters who
have done so much to enrich the lives of the families who share them.
There will never be another 'Cody'.
